About the Track at Prescott Raceway
Prescott Raceway.net is designed to help keep the South's racers and most supportive fans on track and
connected with their local events. Through Forums, Schedules, Results, and Media, Prescott Raceway.net
will post updated information on as many events at Prescott Raceway as possible. Prescott Raceway.net will
try to help keep their fans and racers updated on races and give event coverage. We hope to eventually help bring new racers to the track and show that racing is still a family sport.

Because of their continued drive to make
the track at Prescott Raceway the Best, Fastest and Safest in the State
of Arkansas. The Boardman's had a Track Profiler out onsite.
After evaluation, it was determined that there was a bump in the left
hand lane and the bump has now been fixed.
* Moved the Ticket booth into the Race Track area
* Made the entry road wider
2006 Improvements:
* Fence dividing PIT and Spectator sides removed in March
* Fence placed around bleachers for safety
* All rubber was scraped off track several times this
year
* On August 19th we started working to make the
track better for our racers. By grinding the surface of the
asphalt which was completed on Wednesday,
August 23rd. Decisions were then made to add a layer of coating to
this project after this process was completed it was determined that our
best option is to remove the old asphalt and have it resurfaced with new
asphalt.
*On September 30th, completed laying new asphalt for the track.

The New Racing surface is down and has now had 3 races on it and what
else can be said but Wow! The second week of racing on the new surface
produced a 4.39 elapsed time during the last Outlaw Shootout and the
track will only get better with every race. Prescott Raceway is
dedicated to providing the best racing facility in Arkansas and the new
surface is another step in that direction. If you have not been to
Prescott Raceway you must come race with us, or just come watch and
enjoy some of the best Drag Racing you will see anywhere.
Here are just a few of the things that set
Prescott Raceway apart from the rest. As mentioned the New Track Surface
is awesome and it is also a wide track with guard rails down both sides
for those occasions when very high horsepower has a mind of own and you
need extra room to corral it. Prescott Raceway is also very well lit for
Night Races and the Raceway also has Grandstands on each side of the
track as well as a covered seating area. There is also trackside parking
on both sides of the track and this means there is not a bad seat
anywhere, you have a great view of all the action anywhere you sit,
stand or park.
Safety is one of the greatest concerns of
Prescott Raceway and in addition to all the safety factors mentioned
above with Rick Hayes controlling the action on the starting you can
rest assured that the racing surface is safe and each car has been
visually inspected for anything unsafe before any cars go down the
track. Also during the Outlaw Shootouts an Ambulance is always on hand,
although we hope they only get to enjoy the show they are there if the
need arises. Med flight is also on stand by with Prescott Raceway
coordinates already programmed and ready during every race.

Another new improvement to the track the Boardman's completed the
septic tank for all the RV's to be able to use and is located at
the end of the track on the Pits side.
